Matcha Protein Smoothie

I bought some Matcha last summer after getting sick of paying for a green tea latte from Starbs (5 bucks for a grande with soy!?). I wanted to enjoy the delicious and nutritious matcha flavor without the pricey tag. (Teavana has a nice matcha kit that goes on sale around the holidays ( I got mine for 75% off!)
This morning I wanted to stray from my usual peanut butter chocolate protein shake, so I decided to get a little crafty! Drawing from the green tea frappacino at starbs, I decided to make a healthier version! 2 frozen bananas, 1 t(teaspoon) matcha, two handfuls baby spinach, almond milk and one scoop protein powder later- I've got this dandy morning treat!
How to:
Add spinach, bananas, and some almond milk to the blender...to keep the matcha and protein powder from clumping, I put both of those ingredients in a bowl, and then slowly mix in water until it forms a green paste!!! Add that to the blender, and blend! Add more almond milk to your preferred thickness (you can use any other non-dairy milk as well)
My first thought from the first sip was that I could taste the protein powder- but after getting used to it (the second sip) I was able to embrace the other flavors and I SO am going to make this one more often!!!
