Why ditch dessert when you can make it the start of your day? This chocolatey goodness is my breakfast!

As a student, breakfast is a necessity in order to kick-ass in exams, stay awake in that 8 AM and give you that extra push for the morning workout! This is my absolute favorite protein shake, and it tastes like a milkshake! Best yet, like all my recipes, it's vegan!
Lets get to the point shall we?
What you'll need:
1 - 2 frozen bananas (make sure to cut them up before you freeze them! makes it easier on the blender)
one spoonful cacao powder (or baking cocoa)
vanilla/unsweetened almond milk (or any other dairy free milk)
one heaping spoonful of Peanut butter (I use homemade- heres the recipe!!)
1 scoop Protein Powder ( I use this kind)
handful of baby spinach (optional)
one square dark chocolate (if you want a chocolate chip feel!)
chocolate syrup (optional) (for design!)
Add all except chocolate syrup to the blender and blend!!!
Hint:
mix the protein powder with water in a bowl to make a paste and THEN add to the blender! if you do this, it makes it a lot smoother and less grainy!
the less almond milk you use, the more thick it will be, add about a 1/2 cup at first, and add more as necessary!!
If you don't have frozen bananas, you can use a regular banana, and just add some ice so it will be colder!
sometimes bananas in smoothies have a very distinct flavor, freezing them kind of dims down the flavor and makes it super thick!
I recommend getting the 2 pounder of protein powder, more bang for your buck
This smoothie keeps me full for hours! It gives me enough energy to workout and do well in my morning classes :)
